Our Giving Areas

  • Asian American Advocacy

The term “advocacy” encompasses a broad range of activities that can influence public policy, including research, public education, lobbying, and voter education. We support organizations that serve as champions for fair and equal treatment and inclusion of AAPIs in law and society. These organizations cover broad areas with limited staff and resources.

  • Nature Conservation

This giving area is set aside to honor Alice Kase who was passionate about environmental conservation in and around the Bay Area. We support organizations that focus on land conservation or bird preservation to best honor both Alice and Grace.

  • Mental Health in the Asian American Community

Mental health receives only 1 percent of overall foundation giving. There is a wide array of organizations that are supporting the Asian American community and its access to mental health services. We fund organizations that have a specific focus on mental health research or efforts to destigmatize mental health in the Asian American community.

  • Wild Horse Rescue

This giving area is deeply personal to the K/T Foundation as it honors Grace’s love of wild horses. To honor her, we support organizations that stand out for their unique programmatic approach, clientele, or potential for impact at the national and legislative level.
